PROTECTION earthquakes

Here are some important precautions must be taken to save our life during an earthquake. Although not a fool proof system, such as earthquakes, some changes in the nature or the behavior of animals and birds can warn you help decide the situation.

Before an earthquake.
Do you have a battery powered radio, flashlights and first aid kids at home
Make sure everyone knows where they are
Learn first aid, how to stop the main electricity and gas
Do not store heavy objects on high shelves,
Attach heavy appliances on the ground, heavy furniture and wall anchored,
Plan for your family to meet after an earthquake if anybody separated,
Urge your teachers to discuss the seismic safety in the class and ask them to do exercises, some dried fruit and drinking water.
Find your office has an emergency plan to abdicate their responsibilities in their work in an emergency. Keep some dried fruits andDrinking water.

When an earthquake.
Stay calm when you are inside, stay where you are outdoors. Many injuries occur when people enter or leave buildings.
When inside, leaning against the wall of a building near the downtown, or under a sturdy table keep some protection on its head, stay away from windows and exterior doors, if you're in a great building height on a support assembled column.
If you are outdoors stay in the open, stay away from overhead lines. and bridges,
No fire, if you stop in a moving vehicle over bridges and stay in the car even stops earthquake.

After an earthquake.
Check yourself and bystanders for injuries, first aid,
Check the electrical connection and gas
Turn on your radio or television for emergency instructions, reduce the use of telephone lines may be necessary to convey some important messages.
Stay away from damaged buildings,
Chapels and gloves to protect against flying glass and debris.

Staand away from areas, the beaches and the sea, where Tsunami could strike, even long after the shaking stopped.

A first aid kit, blankets, batteries, flashlights, a period of 72 hours. Food kit (human preferably 3 or 4), matches, a saucepan, boil water in the case.
Find something like Emergency Essentials in the Internet. When a store near you that will help you find what you need. Once you know there are cheaper ways to buy it, instead of prefabricated units.
